I had been wanting to get into electronics for years and recently have been able to do so after discovering Arduino and a number of hobby websites.

Home Automation

I'm slowing turning our ordinary home into a smart one. I make use of existing radio frequency technology (Z-Wave) as well as my own creations. A fun project that should go on for years.

Do-It-Yourself

While there is a time and place for experts I like to try and do things myself as much as possible. Mostly for the learning and personal satisfaction that comes with a job well done (with your own two hands).

Orange Whip

  • I played in this band for a number of years but had to quit when I moved to Phoenix. We generally played live at charity gigs but we also played a few other corporate and fun events.
  • Our goal was to get people up and dancing but not necessarily with songs that we considered to be overplayed on the radio or were mainstays in other cover bands.

Influences

  • I can appreciate the art of most musicians and bands however I generally prefer rock & roll; music that showcases guitar or at least some cool guitar riffs

I love the art and science of photography and the ability to blend the two disciplines. Take a look at the short portfolio below highlighting composition, depth-of-field, lighting and shutter speed (as well as Photoshop editing!).

Coffee

 

It wasn't until my wife and I were married in Hawaii in 2011 that we started our coffee journey. Now, we roast our own beans and host periodic espresso parties for the neighborhood!
